Welcome. I’m Bryant.
I spent the first part of my career as a Nuclear Mechanical Operator in the U.S. Navy. In that world, there is no room for “guessing.” You rely on proven systems, rigorous discipline, and a deep understanding of how complex machines work under pressure.
Today, I am a Systems Engineering Manager in the defense industry. My day-to-day life is spent managing complexity—breaking intricate projects down into reliable, functional frameworks.
Why I Started This Site
I’ve earned a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA with a focus on Finance and Investing from Auburn University (War Eagle!). But as I looked at the world of personal finance, I realized something: The industry thrives on making things sound more complicated than they need to be. As a result, many people never learn to leverage the stock market for what it truly is: a remarkable wealth-building machine. I wanted to demystify that system so my family—and yours—could finally put capitalism to work for them.
I decided to apply a “systems engineering” mindset to my own financial life. I didn’t want “hot tips”; I wanted a framework that was:
- Rules-Based: Driven by logic and data, not headlines or emotions.
- Efficient: Designed to run in the background so I can focus on my family.
- Resilient: Protects what matters most—my family’s future.
A Legacy for My Children
While I enjoy the math and strategy of finance, this site has a deeper purpose. I am a father. I created these pages as a permanent record for my son and daughter. I realized that if I could build a reliable system for myself, I could document it for my children—and share it with anyone else tired of the noise.
If they (or you) can learn to think in systems—to understand the “mechanics” of money and the “engineering” of a good life—you can avoid the obvious mistakes that keep most people stressed and stagnant.
What I Do
- Writing: I share reflections on money, investing, and character-building to help you cut through the noise.
- Coaching: I help individuals apply these “Systems Engineering” principles to their own financial lives—moving from chaos to a streamlined, intentional plan.
I’m glad you’re here. Let’s build something that lasts.
